Spartans Dominate All Phases In 35-3 Victory
10.19.13 by Gregg Shipman
The Spartans were dominant in every phase of the game, crushing the Edison Eagles 35-3 at LaFortune Stadium on a rare Thursday night game.

Standouts of the game were senior safety Black Kirk and sophomore running back Nic Roller, but all the Spartans showed up early and often in this one.

Opening the game with an exchange of turnovers that put the Spartans in position to take an early lead on the first of 3 Nic Roller touchdowns, the Spartans got on the scoreboard first but were quickly answered by an Eagles field goal on the ensuing possession. 7-3 is as close as it got from there on, and those 3 points proved to be the last points the Eagles would score as Bixby went on to score 28 unanswered points and improve to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in conference.

Other Bixby scoring plays included a 50 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Marshall Ray to receiver JJ Cantrell, a 30 yard touchdown pass from Ray to receiver Isaiah Harbin, and two more touchdowns by running back Nic Roller.

Next up for Bixby is a road trip to Putnam City on Friday, October 25th.
