Luke Brummett

The 2024 season will be Coach Brummett’s first season with the Spartans and his 12th season as a varsity coach. He will serve as a freshman assistant.

Prior to joining Bixby, he coached varsity football and varsity wrestling for 11 seasons at Skiatook High School. Coach Brummett worked as a running back and outside linebacker coach for 10 seasons, before being named as the defensive coordinator for 1 season. In his tenure, he helped lead Skiatook to 5 playoff appearances, including 2 semi-final appearances.

In his time with the Skiatook wrestling program, Coach Brummett was named the 5A Assistant Coach of the Year 2 times, as well as helping lead Skiatook to 3 dual state championships (first in school history), 1 dual state runner-up finish, 1 team state championship, and 2 team state runner up finishes. He had the privilege of coaching two 4X individual State Wrestling Champions (the only two in school history).

Coach Brummett graduated from Skiatook High School and attended Labette Community College to wrestle and finished his degree at Southern Nazarene University.

Coach Brummett and his wife, Jenny, have been married for fifteen years and have a 10-year-old daughter, Braylee.
